Fall leaves backlit by sunshine can look like gleaming jewels. While in the woods looking up through the trees I was struck by the intense colorful beauty of it all. "Foliage Tapestry" is a composite I made using a photo I shot looking up through Maple trees branches clothed in beautiful fall foliage against a blue sky. The background was made to be an interesting dark textured abstract.

I am an artist and photographer obsessed by creativity. My artwork has primarily been in pencil, colored pencil,oil,acrylic and watercolor painting. I love to capture the beauty around me with photography. At two I was drawing, in high school I was able to major in an art concentration of study, and later graduated from college with a B.A. in Fine Art. I love the countryside, the woods and nature. These things and subjects which "touch my heart" are my inspiration. To me, all creation...
