In Byron, of western Maine, locals flock to a waterway called Coos Canyon. A part of the Swift River in Oxford County, Coos Canyon is a section where the water cuts through rock creating a series of pools and falls. It is both scenic and a wonderful place to cool off on a hot summer day for those who want to daringly float down through.
