"Across the Brook" is based on scenery I photographed in Central Maine while walking one crisp November day. I intended to do a colored pencil sketch, and much of the piece was done with colored pencil, but as I worked on it I added watercolor pencil to it , and later I painted on it with watercolor paint. The day it depicts was chilly and beautiful.
I am an artist and photographer obsessed by creativity. My artwork has primarily been in pencil, colored pencil,oil,acrylic and watercolor painting. I love to capture the beauty around me with photography. At two I was drawing, in high school I was able to major in an art concentration of study, and later graduated from college with a B.A. in Fine Art. I love the countryside, the woods and nature.
