Egypt Pond is located in Chesterville and Vienna in Maine. It is a quiet little pond frequented in the spring by fishermen. Sometimes one can hear the call of loons on the pond. One rainy summer this photo, by Joy Nichols, was taken at the boat landing. One can see the little trickles of water running back to the pond from recent rain. Early one August morning this photo "Morning....... Egypt Pond" was taken while the mist rose from off the water. This piece has been edited using an oil paint process and texture.

I am an artist and photographer obsessed by creativity. My artwork has primarily been in pencil, colored pencil,oil,acrylic and watercolor painting. I love to capture the beauty around me with photography. At two I was drawing, in high school I was able to major in an art concentration of study, and later graduated from college with a B.A. in Fine Art. I love the countryside, the woods and nature.
