Artist's Description
Sometimes in the summer I like to grab my kayak and car and set off to explore at daybreak. Parker pond is a favorite "kayak haunt" of mine. A large pond... I would call it a lake... its shore front spans the towns of Mount Vernon, Fayette, Chesterville and Vienna in Kennebec County, Maine. In some places boulders break the surface in unexpected spots, something for boaters to be wary of. In places it is over sixty feet deep. I felt this small stone stack added to the beauty of this shot. Photo, "Stone Stacking", by Joy Nichols, has been edited with watercolor process. I hope you enjoy it's serenity!
