"Morning Kayak Solitude" by Joy Nichols, was taken while kayaking on Parker Pond in central Maine. Numerous islands dot Parker Pond. Sometimes one can find bushes loaded with blueberries or hear the cry of a loon. This kayak had landed for exploration on one of the islands. This piece has been edited with watercolor process and texture.

I am an artist and photographer obsessed by creativity. My artwork has primarily been in pencil, colored pencil,oil,acrylic and watercolor painting. I love to capture the beauty around me with photography. At two I was drawing, in high school I was able to major in an art concentration of study, and later graduated from college with a B.A. in Fine Art. I love the countryside, the woods and nature.
