The clouds were quite dramatic as I traveled through Vienna, Maine one September day. As I came over a hill a field of round bales could be seen set against the dark sky. In the distance wind turbines ran along the ridge of blue western hills. "Round Bales Under A Cloudy Sky" by Joy Nichols, is a striking composition taken that cloudy afternoon.

I am an artist and photographer obsessed by creativity. My artwork has primarily been in pencil, colored pencil,oil,acrylic and watercolor painting. I love to capture the beauty around me with photography. At two I was drawing, in high school I was able to major in an art concentration of study, and later graduated from college with a B.A. in Fine Art. I love the countryside, the woods and nature.
